Marketing Coordinator

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

Start Date: Immediate

Role: The Engineering College is looking to recruit a Marketing Coordinator to a varied and exciting role which will include a range of engaging responsibilities.   Passionate about raising brand awareness, the role will suit a candidate interested in the engineering industry and further education sector as a commercial environment.

With a strong grounding in business and marketing, the ideal candidate will have an excellent command of the English language with the ability to write quality copy, proofread and publish dynamic written, graphic, and video content to promote the brand. The content you create will promote audience interaction, increase audience presence on company sites and engage audience participation.

To drive growth and engagement, you will be responsible for creating engaging content for the Company’s social media presence including new and emerging social media platforms, seeking out new ways of connecting with audiences, using scheduling and analytics for targeted campaigns. A working knowledge of content management systems including WordPress with an understanding of how to generate and analyse reports using software such as Google Analytics is essential.

The role will span website management where, working with the Creative Hub team, you will ensure all content that appears on the website is timely and engaging and aligned to our business and marketing strategy while also optimising content following SEO and pay-per-click.

To help you hit the ground running, a working knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks and associated funding rules and regulations would be an advantage.   A qualification in professional and/or digital marketing with the Chartered Institute of Marketing is desirable.

In addition to the above you will be a team player and an effective communicator with the ability to cope under pressure and happy to work on a variety of tasks.

Salary: £24,000 – £27,000 per annum (subject to negotiation, dependent upon experience)

There is an opportunity for hybrid working which will consist of attendance at the workplace for 5 days per week during the three-month probationary period, after which you will be required to attend the workplace for a minimum of 3 days with 2 days working from home each week.

The roles are diverse and cover a number of different elements, including:

  • Teaching, Learning and Assessment: delivery of practical and theory sessions to meet the requirements of the business, the planning of lessons and learning plans effectively, making use of resources and curriculum.
  • Verification: maintain all records and workpieces, track progress for each student in your designated group/s and carry out essential marking for assessments.
  • Learner Reviews: work within the team to develop and regularly update learner ‘off-the-job’ learning plans in conjunction with the learner(s). Work within the relevant team to contribute timely information to the individual’s ‘training officer’ to support performance reviews
  • Learner Support: typically ‘first line’ academic and pastoral support, support the team in identifying any high or additional needs students.
  • Technical & Administration: identifying opportunities for CPD, improving competency, and fulfilling ESFA requirements regarding tracking attendance. support with recruitment and promotion of the brand
  • Team Responsibilities: ensuring high-quality health and safety provision, support and promotion of Equality and Diversity within this industry and safeguarding
  • Scheduled Working: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.30 pm pattern of delivery with built-in scope for curriculum development, learner support and training within those times.  Occasional twilight sessions 5.00pm-8.00pm.

Without a teaching qualification? 

If you have previously completed at least a level 3 qualification in an engineering vocational role and are passionate about inspiring people into engineering, this is an excellent opportunity to join our team, helping students to reach their maximum educational and developmental potential.  You should be:
